Create a Bullet Journal for Your Reading.

Consider creating a bullet journal if you prefer a more hands-on approach to tracking your reading progress. This customizable system allows you to create pages and layouts to track your reading goals, progress, and notes. You can include pages for your reading list, books read, favorite quotes, and more. Plus, physically writing your progress can be a satisfying and motivating experience. You only need a notebook and some pens or markers to get started.

Join a Reading Challenge.

If you’re looking for a fun and interactive way to track your reading progress, consider joining a reading challenge. Many online communities and book clubs offer reading challenges with specific goals and prompts to help you diversify your reading and stay motivated. You can also create your reading challenge with friends or family to make it a social activity. Some popular reading challenges include the Goodreads Reading Challenge, the PopSugar Reading Challenge, and the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge.

Keep a Reading Spreadsheet.

Creating a reading spreadsheet is one of the most effective ways to keep track of your reading progress. You can use a program like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. You can customize your spreadsheet to include columns for the title, author, genre, date started, date finished, and any notes or thoughts about the book. This method allows you to sort and filter your reading list based on different criteria, such as genre or date finished. You can easily update your spreadsheet on the go using a mobile device or tablet.

Use Goodreads to Track Your Reading Progress.

Goodreads is a popular social media platform for book lovers that allows you to track your reading progress, connect with other readers, and discover new books. You can create virtual bookshelves to organize your books, set reading goals, and track your progress toward those goals. Goodreads also offers personalized book recommendations based on your reading history and allows you to write reviews and ratings for the books you’ve read. Plus, the Goodreads app makes it easy to update your reading progress on the go.
