Despite your best efforts, it’s sometimes difficult to stick with your plan to finish that list of books. You have the best of intentions. Other projects get in the way. You may find yourself overwhelmed by the size of the book you’ve chosen. You may just let the habit of reading slide or slip until you’ve forgotten much of the plot and/or characters; and, you feel that you might as well just start over.

But, fitting a book into your busy schedule really is as easy as 1-2-3.

  1. Set aside a time to read every day. Set a reminder on your phone and/or digital calendar.
  2. Pick a reading spot. It’s your one place to get away and read, whether it’s a kitchen nook, or the bench at the park. (Ideally, you’ll want to make sure there are no distractions.)
  3. Read what you want. Don’t try to force yourself to read a book you absolutely detest just because your friend (or some online source) said it was great!

This is the perfect time of the year to get started! Ready, set… read.
